A 54 year old woman had a heart attack and was taken to the
hospital.
While on the operating table she had a near death experience.
Seeing God she asked "Is my time up?"
God said, "No, you have another 43 years, 2 months and 8 days to
live."
Upon recovery, the woman decided to stay in the hospital and have
a
face-lift, liposuction, breast implants and a tummy tuck. She even
had
someone come in and change her hair color and brighten her teeth!
Since she
had so much more time to live, she figured...

Recently,
we visited a good friend in Orlando FL and he made us Buckwheat
Pancakes with fresh blueberries for brunch. YUM! Yum! When we
returned home I wondered if I loved these so much because we were
on vacation AND I wasn't the one doing the cooking! So I tried
these myself and absolutely fell in love with the fresh warm
blueberry taste, and I found I didn't need the maple syrup!
I now make these for brunch on the weekends when our
health-conscious kids come to visit - they also love them for...

I do my shopping at a regular grocery store, not a health and
nutrition store. Luckily, I have the willpower of a stubborn
2-year old while I'm in the grocery store. I bring a list with me
and have no problems bypassing the junk food aisles. I mainly shop
the perimeter, where the dairy, veggies, fruit and meat are
located. I also buy whole wheat bread products. I only venture to
the middle of the store to get nuts and tuna, never down the junk
food / pop asile. When I get home, all I have are...

Mother's Day has passed and Father's Day is this weekend. I
still have both my parents physically, but emotionally they are
both struggling now that they are in their 80's. Plus, my Mom
has late stage Alzheimer's and my Dad has 'lost it' because of
this. He has lost his partner of over 60 years, he's lost his
farm - not financially, but emotionally - because he was forced to
move off the farm to take care of his wife as they moved from place
to place trying to find what works for them as they...

I live above the equator (like so many others) so I need that extra
burst of Vitamin D. During the winter months, I take at least
4,000 IU's plus an extra spray shot whenever I think of it just in
case my body is needing it & it's not telling me! In the summer
months, I probably don't need as much. But since I wear sunscreen
and work in the office, I'm not outdoors as much as I'd like, so I
continue to take 4,000 IU's, but may skip the additional spray
dosage.
My favorite vitamin D sources from...
