My Healthy Lifestyle

Hi, I'm Rachel

Hi, Rachel here. I've worked at Swanson Health Products for 14 years, am a true believer in trying to live a healthy and balanced life, and am very proud of the fact that we at Swanson Health Products are committed to offering high quality discount vitamins and supplements. Whenever possible, I try to make the best natural health choices for both myself and my family.

I'm an avid outdoor enthusiast--my bucket list includes visiting (and hiking) every National Park in the United States. I also started running about three years ago and will do my second half marathon at the end of May. As a married, busy mom of two young and very spirited children, living a balanced life is definitely a challenge!

Working for Swanson has been a bit of a ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ for me. I started out as a catalog writer, moved into proofreading and from there got involved in the creation of our website. Once the website grew big enough, I was fortunate to be able to build a department to help run it and continue its development.  At a lot of companies, there’s a set path or stringent corporate ladder to success. Not so, at SHP. We’ve definitely got more of a fluid path to success here!

1/4-1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1-2 cloves crushed garlic
8-10 leaves fresh basil (recipe called for parsley, but I used fresh basil from my garden)
1/4-1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
Salt & Pepper...Read More »

Well, I've been completely off caffeine since my first pregnancy - whoa - about seven year ago now. (Um, where did that time go?) Anyway, as I sit here trying to form a coherent thought, I am all strung out and shaky. Oh yeah, and my hands are freezing because of the vasoconstrictoreffect of the caffeine. The exact feeling I hate and why...Read More »
