Natural Health Book Reviews

Hi, I'm Julie, a proofreader here at SHP

Julie L.

I was born at 22, when health moved beyond an abstract idea, as an event one might participate in from time to time, to a reality that erases distinctions between the body and the biological need to fuel it. Simply stating "I made lifestyle changes" doesn’t cover the profound psychological and spiritual impact making the decision to be conscious about what I put in my body revealed in my personal experience.

For me education was the semi-typical college route and the much larger education one receives everyday through decisions (like what to buy, and how much to exercise) that shape people. While what we get out of education is subjective, I’ve learned the more education becomes something you pursue actively, the more you get from it. We can learn from each other how to make a better world by simply passing things along, in kind of the same way birds, bats and insects help pollen germinate flowers.

While many things are beyond our capability to change, our health need not be one of them. This blog is devoted to seeing what’s out there in terms of books devoted to natural health subjects. In the interest of education, the book reviews that follow will hopefully help you decide which books may or may not work for you.
