After spending the last few years working in the natural health
business, I've read plenty of websites and blogs proclaim the
health benefits of a raw food diet. I decided I wanted to challenge
myself and went on a raw diet for one full week. I just finished
the raw week and am going to tell you about how it went.
Why I went Raw for One
Week • Help
my body with cleansing and detoxification
• Become leaner
• Learn to incorporate more
raw foods into my diet •...Read More »
A recent
report by The American Academy of Pediatrics offers some
new guidelines on how to treat a child who is running a fever. Many
parents quickly turn to ibuprofen or acetaminophen to reduce the
child's body temperature, but that isn't always the best route to
go. The report explains that maintaining the child's temperature
close to "normal" should not be the main concern and instead, "the
primary goal of treating the febrile child should be to improve the
child's overall comfort."

I admit it. I knew nothing about natural health four years
ago. I was unaware that there was an obvious problem with the
current state of traditional medicine--a system that treats
symptoms with prescription drugs instead of treating the root
causes of disease and promoting prevention with healthy lifestyle
choices and a natural foods diet. I didn't even realize there
were alternatives to the traditional treatment methods that we hear
about on the news, in magazines or from our doctors.

lifestyle and doing...Read More »

referred to as SAD. If you are looking to lose weight or maintain
weight loss, the diet below isn't going to cut it. Instead of
eating processed food, consider adding more natural organic foods
to your diet. Over the past two years, I have eliminated artificial
sweeteners from my diet. That means someone else is eating well
above the 24 pounds a year consumed by the...Read More »
