Jem JensenMy health story begins in 2006. Recently diagnosed with diabetes, I set out to lose weight and feel better without abandoning my vegetarian lifestyle. Since then I've lost 100 lbs, discovered some great vegetarian supplements and recipes, and feel much healthier. But lasting change is a process and successful weight loss requires lifestyle changes and building healthy habits.

I'm always looking for new health tips for vegetarians, leafdiabetics, and dieters and I'm constantly discovering new ways to be responsible with what I eat. Join me for some recipes, stories, and encouragement. Lets get healthy together!

It's summer and you know what that means: frozen treats! But for the dieter, a little ice cream can really throw off your nutritional balance. So what's a recovering chocoholic on a natural health diet to do? Enter the meal replacement shake!

For my shake, I like a lot of protein, fiber, and flavor so I use Chocolate Spiru-Tein, Fiber powder, and chocolate soy milk. Mix them all together in a blender with some ice and you've got a delicious frozen treat that won't spoil your day.
